Flickering hope,
Crippled faith,
Tarnished love
Washed in tides of tears.
Marred belief,
Cracked memories,
Fragmentized life,
Burning in flames of misery.
Tormenting past,
Crushed perseverance,
Engulfing darkness,
Succumbing to an anaesthetic reality.
Deeply cut,
Still strangely smiling.
Too much to bear-
It wears me no more.
Blindfolded, I walk,
Relieved, through the maze of pain;
‘Cause I am not afraid,
Not anymore.
-Vaisakhi Mishra

‘Cause I am not afraid,
Not anymore.'' heartfelt description of feeling one's way through...
Poignant poem!
The way the thought flows in the poem and ends is beautiful. I love the last paragraph as it's giving a perfect culmination of wandering thoughts. Marvelous.
ReplyDeleteThis was beautifully written. Pain makes us strong and in the end we triumph. Loved this.
