Summer Rains

Laden wisps of the sky,
Deeper than the deepest dye
Paint the summer day dark,
Answering to some murmuring lark.

The dusty shades are all washed clean,
And some distant peacocks laugh and preen,
But someone sure knows the source of this treasure trove -
These are all but tears from above.

Untimely and uninvited, the rain still falls
Wet eyes see as melancholy crawls.
But thoughts still are drawn, staring at the sky,
If it can let go why can’t I?

Life is not like rain, for it is all in rewind forever

But rain lets go of the summer pain; that is for us to remember.

First Rain

Poinciana has set the world ablaze
And tired are now, peacocks’ gaze
Waiting for the symphony of thundering days
And a dance in the fresh build puddle craze

A kiss of the awaited first rain
Against my dusty window pane;
Skies letting go of the mantle grey,
Transcending ruthless gleaming rays.

Rising tide and a splatter of life
A breath of earth, ignited by fiery strife
Nature’s spirits floating in the air,
Laden clouds on flower care.

Crumbling am I, in this scorching sunny clamor,
Holding on to thoughts of the cold shower.
These days will pass, so will the summer pain;
And drizzling eves will rule yet again!

Swan Song

Ripples of hopes, dreams and life
Form and fade; my thoughts at strife.
But tranquilly I float on the blue tides,
To collect some moments to boost my vanishing light.

The long winter looms to take over the water
And freeze it – emotionless; Will it morn my departure?
The night chills, memoir of this haughty swan
That was once an ugly duckling - forlorn.

My world was this lake serene
The other side of this bridge still lays unseen
Wish I had some more days to stall
And just see the auburn aura, sweep again, next fall

Some last notes of my song remain,
But my heart pleads to rewind the whole tune again.
I fade to nothingness with the dead harp of death,

Yet rendition of my last song reverberates the lost notes of faith.

Dying Dream

The mellow eyes quietly sing
To a slowly dying ethereal dream,
To stay some more and breathe to her
And not let her fall back to a lonely wall.

A caged bright bird flaps to dance,
To splash the beady drops of love
That form and slip off the glass,
Of her darkened lonely walls.

A broken heart prays for love to come,
And be the key to her self closed room,
And dance for a while in a starry night,
And break the fence of the lonely walls.

The hopeful face calmly sleeps,
Hoping her dream would come real once
And lift her again in its arms of love
And make her leave the lonely walls.

Random 2

Jazbaaton ke panno mein
Aawaz kahin guum si ho gayi hain
In hawaaon mein behkar
Baatein kahin guum si ho gayi hain

Roya hai yeh dil phirse
Jane kis baat se machal utha hai yeh kambakt phirse
Hanste, muskurate, aasuon ki barish mein,
Bheeg sa gaya hai yeh phirse

Kehte hum thakte nahi
Waqt ne hai sabko bante gum aur khushi
Phir jaane kyon ladhte hain hum kismat se
Jab sikhae woh hume jina zindagi

Ugte suraj ko dekh ke jana
Naya savera aaega
Chattano pe tut te lehron se jana
Har pal yunhi kho jaega
Thame pal, theherenge nahi
Jana in me hi hai jeena kahin…

Aazad kiye dar ke parinde
Thame nayi dor phir chal diye
Bas, khud ko khud se milane.

SHOW ME THE LIGHT...

Sands of time etched by Thy feet,
Trace a path, visible in dark.
Shiny, shimmery grains of faith;
Visions of truth guide me, off late.

Shadowed by enormous falcons of lies,
Blown by winds of gloomy times,
Washed by waves of sorrow and despair,
The path of hope is lost again.

I pray to Thee to come to my rescue;
Bless the sands one more time,
Show me light and art of life,
Fill my chalice with belief in Thy.

ENDLESS WAIT...

relate to this musical piece

Winds flow with tinge of love
Sky is doomed with self alone
I stare and wait to be with you
And Hope rekindle in my soul-

Time flies with swift birds
Burning sun is off with dusk
My tears shimmer in twilight’s flare
Still Hope rekindle in my soul-

Whispering springs remind me of you
Memories of you touch me like dew
I greet the moon with my rising despair
But I let Hope rekindle in my soul.

You and I will be together again
Wallow in snow, sing in rain
Till then I’ll stay with my endless wait
And wait and wait, till when I can.

MORNING STAR

YEARS OF DARKNESS FADING AWAY
GOT JUST ONE MORE NIGHT TO STAY
NOW I'LL SEE LIGHT OF LIFE AGAIN AND AGAIN
ABANDONING THIS DARK DEN

WAITING FOR THE MORNING STAR.....
TO COME AND HEAL MY EYES
TO COME AND SHINE AND MAKE THINGS BRIGHT.....
RELEASE ME FROM THE SHADOWS OF THE NIGHT

THE DOOMED DARKNESS CRIES ALOUD
AS I SEE THE RAY OF HOPE
AND BUTTERFLIES AND RAINBOW DYES
ARE GONNA COME ON MY WAY ALONG

WAITING FOR THE MORNING STAR.....
TO COME AND HEAL MY EYES
TO COME AND SHINE AND MAKE THINGS BRIGHT.....
RELEASE ME FROM THE SHADOWS OF THE NIGHT

THE FEEL AND TOUCH WILL HAVE A SIGHT
FROM NOW ON FOREVER
I'LL SEE THE SKY AND WATER BLUE
AND SEE THINGS HOWEVER
THE GREEN LAND LUSH I FELT FOR LONG
WILL NOW GLAZE MY EYES
AND EVEN THE DARK AND ENDLESS NIGHT
WILL BE STAR LITE AND O MOON SO BRIGHT

COME RELEASE ME,
FROM BONDAGE OF THIS NIGHT....
COME RELEASE ME,
FROM SHADOWS OF THE NIGHT....MORNING STAR.....

A SOUL TRAPPED IN AMBER

-INSPIRED BY THIS PIC CLICKED BY ARUNDHATI CHATTERJEE....:)

n yes this is not melancholic....:P

LAUGH, AS MUCH AS YOU CAN
PITY YOUR HEART OUT FOR ME.
BUT PITY IS FOR YOU, NOT ME
EVEN THOUGH, I AM A SOUL TRAPPED IN AMBER.

YOU THINK MY LIFE IS BOUND IN THIS TINY BALL?
THEN YOUR THOUGHTS ARE WORTH NOTHING AT ALL.
CAUSE I TWIST AND TURN, WITH EYES WIDE OPEN
TO SEE A WORLD BEYOND THIS GREEN SPECTRUM.

I LIVE WITH WISH AND WITH HOPE
AND WITH THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY I'LL SURELY ELOPE.
YOU SEE YOUR WORLD FULL OF MISERY
BUT NATURE'S BEAUTY AND GLEAM IS ALL I SEE.

MIRTH AND HAPPINESS SEEM COALESCING IN ME-
YOU HATH NO EFFECT ON ME, FORLORN STYMIE!
PROCRASTINATE ME FOR HOW LONG YOU WANT
BUT I AM DESTINED FOR WORLD, OUTSIDE OF THIS BOND.

I'LL GLIDE IN SKY, AS A CARELESS BIRD.
FLOAT THE SEA, AND DO THINGS ABSURD.
WALLOW IN SNOW, FOR NIGHT AND DAY.
GALLOP LIKE A HORSE, AND DO THE WIND AWAY.

LAUGH AT MY QUEER WISH, O WHY?
IF RAPUNZEL WAS LUCKY, SO CAN I.
SO PLAY WITH ME FOR THE REMAINING TIME-
SOON I'LL BE FREE, LEAVING THIS PULVERIZED CHIME.

HOPE.......a good start for everything i guess...

DRENCHED SHE STANDS
AGAINST THE COLD WINTER WINDS.
DRENCHED IN GRIEF AND DESPAIR-
THE MOON SHINES GLORIOUSLY,
AS NIGHT FALLS, STEALING
ALL HER DREAMS AGIAN.

SHE STANDS THERE,
STARING AT A FLICKERING CANDLE,
PONDERING OVER STRENGTH,
STRENGTH PUT UP BY THE WEAK LIGHT
AGAINST THE RUTHLESS WIND.
AND THERE, IT CROSSES HER MIND-

SHE STANDS THERE
NOW WITH "HOPE"
BESIDE A SEPULCHER OF MISERIES
THE HOPE, THE LIGHT WILL SUSTAIN THE WIND.
THE HOPE, THE SUN WILL COME AGAIN.
THE HOPE, SOON THERE WILL BE SPRING.

 SHE STANDS THERE
WITH A FAINT SMILE
FAINT, BUT STRONG
STRONG AS THE HOPE BUILT ALONG
THE FACADE OF MELANCHOLY, FOR LONG.
KNOWING, THINGS WILL HAVE A "NEW BEGINNING".
